From raw feed to certified product water — diagnostics you can act on.
Independent consulting in desalination, industrial water treatment, and laboratory accreditation. Hypothesis-driven, evidence-based, no invented numbers — for facilities that can't afford to guess.
Feed Assessment
Raw water chemistry, source variability, and pretreatment demand.
Scaling & Fouling Control
Anti-scalant dosing, media performance, and upstream risk factors.
Process Diagnostics
Salt rejection, flux decline, demister fouling, thermal efficiency.
Lab & Compliance
ISO/IEC 17025 readiness, SOPs, and defensible data.

Hossam Hussein
I'm a chemistry-trained water treatment specialist with over a decade of hands-on experience across MSF desalination systems, industrial water treatment, and petroleum refining laboratories in the Gulf.
Apex Water Sciences exists for one reason: most water treatment problems aren't solved by generic advice, they're solved by separating fact from assumption and testing a real hypothesis against real data. That's the standard every engagement is held to — no invented figures, no guesswork presented as certainty.
I work with industrial facilities, desalination operators, and laboratories across Egypt and the Gulf, remotely and on-site.
Four ways to work together
Diagnostic Consultation
A focused session on a specific technical problem — RO fouling, salt rejection decline, demister issues — followed by a written summary of findings and next steps.
60–90 min + reportLab Data & Process Review
Structured review of calibration curves, QC trends, and process data to surface what your own dataset is already telling you.
Async / scheduledISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation Support
Gap analysis, SOP development, and hands-on preparation through to accreditation readiness.
2–6 month engagementFacility & Laboratory Audit
A full on-the-ground assessment of a desalination plant or QC laboratory, with a prioritized, actionable report.
1–3 day visitNeed ongoing support, not a one-off?
Monthly retainer engagements are available for facilities that want continuous access — a fixed number of advisory hours each month, no re-briefing required.
Describe the problem. Get a real answer.
Whether it's a stalled diagnostic, an upcoming accreditation deadline, or a facility that needs a second opinion — start with an email and I'll respond with next steps, not a sales pitch.
